    1. I was so excited to get BSI for free on . I love "Supernatural Cop" stories, and this sounded right up my alley. Sadly, I was disappointed. The editing of the book is horrendous. It is filled with misused words, bad punctuation, and every other sort of editorial and writing mishap I can think of. It is curious that books this badly edited are still gaining five-star ratings? I see the author has several books out on the market, so possibly it is the "Gray" conundrum - a book or author is popular [...]

    2. Unique combination of crime novel and the supernatural Very well written crossover novel. It grips you like a crime novel and carries you away like a fantasy tale.

    3. Whether you're a fan of C.J. Pinard's paranormal/urban fantasy series, Enchanted Immortals, or being introduced to it now BSI: Bureau of Supernatural Investigation is a fantastic novella to read at any point in the series. It provides backgrounds to already known characters as well as introduce fresh characters from different cities and era's. It comes complete with imagination, action, fun and drama. Not to mention the various fae, including vampires, shifters, succubae and sylph. This Enchanted [...]

    4. So glad I decided to read this book before the Immortalsi feel i have a better knowing of the charactersloved this book

    5. Very disjointed, little to no character development. One continuous story with a little more time devoted to it would have been a better way to go.

    6. Ohh dear!!!Basically, there's an elite group that police the supernaturals. These small few are gifted an elixir which they take every 5yrs, made by sylphs (fae), and given to them by one of the 10 queens of the world. Each 'immortal' has extended life, super strength and a special gift. The first few chapters are set in 1945/46, San Francisco, but it could've been any decade. There's been some suspicious deaths likely vamps and shapeshifters and the team explore the clues. The second part is se [...]

    7. Big disappointment. If you are going to set parts of a novel in different time periods, make sure the lingo and music used is appropriate to the time (unless you have characters going back in time, which this novel did not). Nobody said "I got this" in 1941. "U Can't Touch This" was not out yet, and certainly not playing in the clubs in 1989.If you don't care about those types of stylistic errors, you may really enjoy this book. It just made me mad. I won't be reading the rest of the series.

    8. I was very excited to see this book when it came out free I had wanted to try it. However I was disappointed. The book seem to introduce a lot of characters and that needed a lot more development but it seemed like there was no connecting plot to tie it all together. It started out great but left me hanging into many directions.

    9. Picked this up on a whim - while the potential is there, the characters need a bit more development. I would try the author again - once.

    10. Great readI was impressed. So much so I will buy the next book. The story was interesting and the writing flowed smoothly.

    11. 'BSI: Bureau of Supernaturals Investigation' was an intriguing read. I am wondering if I needed to read some of this series before I read this book. This book gives me a general idea of how and why the BSI was created, but I still had a lot of questions as to who the people were and how they fit into the story. All in all, this was a good story. I would like to read more of this series. The characters were a wide array of personalities and beings. A good add to your tbr list.

    12. This was my least favorite book this year. I could not finish it - not a good use of time. The writing was confusing (didn't know who was talking at many points), the story didn't hold together, the progression of the story didn't make sense disappointing on every level.

    13. Read this bookI like the second half of the book better than the first half. the first half was way out there

    14. Good readGood book but poorly proofread. Found misuse of some words that blew my mind. I'm quite sure a library can't be eloquent.

    15. Dumbd I was being kind. This book isn't worth the paper it is written on. It has zero redeeming qualities and not recommended for any parents of YA.

    16. Vampires and WhatA marvellous interestingly, brilliant story. Not the last for this two characters I,m sure!!!!!!!!.!! I am looking forward to the next.A definate winner

    17. BSI Vs NolanThe BSI story was great! The Nolan story was too far fetched for my taste.I would have perfected to stick with more immortals than the Nolan story.

    18. Dreadful writingThe book was full of grammatical errors, so many that it was difficult to read without wincing. The constant use of "gonna" was extremely annoying. All characters constantly "smirked" - their only expression. I was so distracted by the constant cliches and bad grammar that I was unable to focus on the story line.

    19. A short but sweet book, it did seem to jump around a bit and once you start to get to know the characters, they change. It is a good book, but could've been longer and more detailed.

    20. VampiresExcellent read lots of action and romance and fun, fast-paced with lots of different characters. Love that he made it through and found love

    21. The government has set up the Bureau of Supernatural Investigation to investigate growing paranormal crime without alerting the public. Bosses are unaware that some law enforcement agents they employ are paranormal creatures who belong to their own policing service. The idea on this one was good but I didn't really enjoy the execution. This was more like an ordinary historical crime novel except the suspects being quizzed and searched for were supernatural as were a few of the officers. And I don [...]

    22. i couldnt decide between 2/3stars, went up. since this was a fast read, good old school cheesy monster vibe, entertaining story. taking place between the 1940s threw 80s. 40s setting vaguely reminds me of supernaturals men of letters. I may of had high expectations since this has been on my radar for a couple years, though I dont believe it effected my rating/review. pop cutler references werent annoying since there wasnt many, but some of them where incorrect. writers ability was lacking someth [...]

    23. Wonderful introductions to these characters! Cannot wait to read more! This story was more like short stories spanning several decades. You are introduce to the agents of the BSI, a special does not exist branch of government, that investigate supernatural crimes and the Immortals, who watch and govern when needed. Very well written and interesting storylines! The characters are interesting and I want to learn more. Each mini story takes place in a different decade. I enjoyed this book and it is [...]

    24. Interesting take on paranormal fictionI picked this up as a freebie for my Kindle and it made for a quick, entertaining read. This was sort of like the literary equivalent of a popcorn movie. Some interesting takes on paranormal figures and I enjoyed the idea of the BSI. I've heard the other books by this author are better so I may pick up some from the Immortals series as well.
