    1. This was how grumpy Derek was throughout the entire story. As the blurb says, Stiles witnesses a murder and crosses paths with her family at her funeral. What devolves from there is a slight twist on the Teen Wolf canon of hunters vs werewolves. Characterizations are spot on - instead of Laura, we have Cora as the loving, meddlesome sister. Derek is ultra broody and reticent and you don't see him open up til the end. Tho this is PG-13 in the gore and romance, it was really well written and Stiles [...]

    2. AU story where the Hales are wolves, the fire happened, but Laura and Derek never returned to Beacon Hills, Scott (and the rest of the BH wolves) never got bitten, and Stiles didn't learn about werewolves until much later.Stiles is living in NYC when he witnesses a woman get pushed onto the subway tracks. That woman is Laura, and the pusher is Kate, and this is how Stiles gets sucked into wolftown, when Cora and Derek essentially adopt Stiles to protect him from Kate. The romance in this one was [...]

    3. My favorite that I've read by this author. This was a sweet, well-paced story, a bit different from the usual. Probably my favorite Cora Hale ever, and in general the story made excellent use of the ensemble. The dynamic between our heroes was pretty classic Sterek, with Derek his usual grumpy, taciturn self and an especially sweet version of Stiles. My one problem was my usual pet peeve about incomprehensible pictures of New York City--like where was this (insanely affordable) 2-bedroom apartme [...]

    4. I have had this one to read forever and just put it off and put it off. R read it for me and I still never got to it!I’m glad I finally got to it. I liked it quite a bit. I wasn’t sure how everything would connect with it taking place in NY but man, it really all came full circle and I was swept up in the story and the mini romance.

    5. A good read, yet my lasting impression is of Cora. This has got to be the friendliest version of her I've ever read. Which is nice change--I get a little tired of her (and/or Laura) threatening Stiles existence for showing interest in their emotionally fragile brother. It gets old.

    6. Action packed, and at the end, quite romantic. Peter is the same psychotic ass. Kate Argent is still batshit crazy.Stiles is Stiles, clumsy, snarky, deliciously clumsy while wooing Derek.Derek is Derek, growly and stoic in all his brooding, sourwoolf glory.I would have loved if this story explored the relationship between Isaac & Scott better.

    7. I'm on a sterek roll, and this is another worthy addition. The plot is quite good, the romance is a bit long-winded. Three solid stars

    8. I'm not entirely sure why everyone seems to like this one so much. The way I see it? Stiles isn't nearly witty or smart enough, Derek is almost absurdly closed off and completely uninteresting, Scott is predictably moronic but lacks most of the adorable puppy-like qualities that make him a fan favorite despite his lack of judgement, and all relationships are rushed and superficial. Also stop with the wealth and black town cars and expensive food, money is not a turn on over here. Also, Cora is not [...]

    9. Some Favorite Quotes: "Fuck." He pushed his hands through his hair. "I can't start talking to myself. I can't afford a therapist.""I'm sorry. I'm just I'm not really awake yet, and my filter hasn't turned on. It will, soon, and it'll be safer to have a conversation with me then, I promise.""And that you don't actually barely tolerate me, and that you might even want to keep me around. A little."

    10. Neat to see the gang in New York. I was worried there would be no Sterek relationship but things turned out okay. Whew.
