    1. Fine concept, nicely late out. Egregious mistake on page 28 (said August Macke died in the Second World Warey meant the first). That kind of sloppy editing makes me worried about other information.

    2. Sadly, I appear to be art illiterate. I had never heard of several of these painters and an not sure about their choice in a book for young children. In particular, I found Goya's 'Witches' Flight" to be too dark for kids. Surely there are other painters who would be more suitable.

    4. My degree in Art History makes children's books with Art themes naturally appealing. The book "13 Painters Children Should Know" is a great introductory book that helps the reader learn about famous artists. Even with a background in Art History I learned something new about Gustav Klimt as I read the book. For each of the thirteen artists the author gives some brief background information on the individual and then shows a selection of their work. I chose to pair this book with "When Pigasso Me [...]

    5. How can anyone pick 13 paintersI'd only heard or was familiar with maybe three out the entire book. I do like the dialog that encourages the kids to try their own painting and different painting styles and subject.s

    6. This is a beautifully-designed book, on heavy matte paper with rich colors, featuring more than the usual suspects.

    7. This is a must have in every art teacher's classroom. It offers a good comprehensive assessment of artists in the foundation of a child's learning.
