    1. This was a nice twist on Steampunk with magic and tech in tension. Made me wish I knew a sky pirate ;)That said, the historical accuracy as when the action moved to the gaol was devastatingly vivid. Also, I wonder if all steampunk worlds have to include Queen Victoria? *not a serious question.Any way you look at it, the queen in Redemption was sharply drawn and effectively used throughout the novel, even before we met her.Loved this adventurous story.

    2. The first thing the reader will notice is that it takes awhile to truly get into the book. The plot is ok, not terrific, but not bad. The characters are fun to read about. The reader will not necessarily like either of them-at times the heroine may appear a little bratty and the hero will treat her too badly ( for the reader's taste). The book has the typical heroine slowly falling for the hero outlook. As long as the reader doesn't take the characters too seriously, he/she should enjoy this nov [...]

    3. Ms. Archer has written a fascinating tale with a mix of intrigue, adventure, romance, danger, and a villain who is willing to sacrifice everyone else for his own gain. I thought the way Matilda seemed to bring something out of Jack from the very beginning added heat and a certain amount of foreplay to this romantic novel. The Adventures of Miss Upton and the Sky Pirate not only included these two fantastic characters but some others who deserve a story all of their own, especially Mr. Sparks. Th [...]

    4. An impressive read that powerfully evokes the steam-driven Victorian world of steampunk. When Tilda Upton returns a lost dog to his rightful owner, she accidentally alerts the authorities to her psychic powers. This sets a train of events in motion that lead her into a world of adventure, mixing with pirates, inventors, spies and hellhags. I didnt know what ot expect with this book but became enchanted by it's layers of complexity -the descriptions of the steam-powered world are sufficient to gr [...]

    5. I wanted to like this book, but I didn't. The "hero", Black Jack Knight, treated the heroine terribly for most of the book, for her own good of course (barf), and yet she still fell in love with him? I didn't feel any chemistry between them, and the plot didn't really hold my interest. I think the story had potential, but too many things just didn't work for me that I found myself rushing to finish so that I could hurry up and read something else.Technical Note: I read the epub version from Smas [...]

    6. This story was OK, it wasn't awesome, but it was OK. There were some sex scenes spread throughout the book which, I thought were lame. Maybe I have led a bit of a sheltered life. I wish there had been more to the story and less about well you know. The writing style was OK, but nothing in the personality or writing caught me like Soulless or Paranormalcy. Overall, I could have done with out the book, but it wasn't bad.

    7. I loved this story! It was fun, full of adventure and had a romance that kept you reading. All the Steampunkery stuff was highly contagious to read about too.I definitely think people will enjoy this book.

    8. Bascially your standard historical 'pirate' romance only it is a sky ship instead of a sea ship. Fairly average - could have used some serious editing and I found the romance a little unbelievable. I few snarky exchange and sex in a swamp do not a true love make.

    9. I really enjoyed this book full of paranormal and romance action with a steampunk feel. It has good balance of all that I mention and keeps you interested the whole way.

    10. Fun, escapist fare for readers who like heroes and heroines that don't take themselves too seriously. Ridiculous, romantic, dramatic.
