    1. 5 Long Live the King Stars“Don’t let me fall.” Her breath hitched as she said the words. “Never.”-Emma and Dage Some SpoilersFirst read Dec 15 2014reread Nov 21 2016Rereread 2/12/2018“I should have known the Queen of the Realm would be a pain in my ass.”-DageClaimed the 2nd book in the Dark Protectors series was as amazing as the first book! This book picks up right where Fated left off. Dage is going after Emma who was kidnapped by the Kurjans. With war looming and virus 27 threat [...]

    2. Dage & EmmaThe storytelling about the true love between Cara’s older sister and the King of the Realm has started in the previous book. Emma has been dreaming about Dage for years, while Dage has been dreaming about Emma for centuries. Both of them should have been prepared to accept each other. Unfortunately they have to work on it.Emma is a strong-minded girl who has been always fought for her independence and for survival. She has always been responsible for her little sister and her li [...]

    3. 5 - "I'm with the man, not the king. The king can kiss my ass." Stars! The King and his ‘mate’ are given their story.I liked Dage in Fated; the guy is dealing with a lot of responsibility, but still manages to keep his sense of humor. Emma is Cara’s sister, who we get to know a little about in book 1 as well. You also get more of an insight into their past with their parents in Claimed, but from Emma’s point of view this time.Main point for me that I loved, was the verbal sparring between [...]

    4. Dage & Emma's Story:Fun, fast paced PNR series. Great storyline, characters and suspense. Instalove, mates for life, possessive Alphas and grotesque evil foes. There are Vampires, Shifters, witches, Demons and more. This is a continued storyline focusing on a different couple per book.New characters where introduced and all characters from book 1 returned to book 2. This book had lots of scientific talk that made my eyes cross a little bit but I am loving the story building. A lot of intrigu [...]

    5. I enjoyed this one even more than Fated. More alpha goodness, strong heroine, suspense, action, great secondary characters that add to the story rather than distract and a surprise that I didn’t see coming. There is some push and pull from the heroine but after the first part of the book it wasn’t as much. I started this book about a year ago and realized it was the second book of a series. I felt a little lost so I shelved it. It helped to have read book one but this could be read alone. Ju [...]

    6. Summary Emma Paulsen is a geneticist, but she also has other psychic gifts, where she can she future events. She has just been kidnapped by Kurjans, who will stop at nothing to destroy everything good, including her sister, and her mate…the King of the Realm, Dage Kayrs. While being transported she finds herself being rescued by the one man who haunts her dreams and visions. But despite her feelings for Dage, she wants her own freedom. She is determined to never be under a mans rule again, or [...]

    7. 4 action-packed, romantic and exciting starsBook 2 in the Dark Protectors series brings us the story of King of the Realm, Dage, and his long-awaited mate, Emma. Their story was nicely set up in the last book – Fated – and I’m so happy that this one met all of my expectations! It was exciting, romantic and steamy with lots of action and some great progression in the overarching story. All set against an intriguing and continually developing PNR world. I loved it!Dage is the eldest of a gro [...]

    8. I am going to have a hard time expressing my feelings about this book. This book is the second in the series and I really do think you need to read the first book, Fated, before starting this one. I believe you will be lost otherwise.Honestly, after reading the first book I was not really craving this story. I knew the heroine would be a pain in the ass (to put it mildly) and while the hero was likeable, he did not grab my attention in the first book. However with this series, it really is a seri [...]

    9. I consider myself a HUGE fan of Rebecca Zanetti's "Dark Protector's" series. Which is Fated now Claimed. Before I started blogging, I wasn't a paranormal fan. And now I'm hooked. Not only am I hooked but I'm hooked on this series. Rebecca's books have a little bit of everything. It has Action, Science, Romance and my favorite it's sexy! It's so sexy it's steamy. Though it has sexy and steamy scenes, it's written very tastefully. I love her writing. PERIOD. This series has become one of my favori [...]

    10. 2.5 It was okay stars.I'm thinking this wasn't as bad as the first book but since I can't, for the life me, remember any of it, your guess is as good as mine.I deducted 0.5 stars cause I didn't connect with the characters and though I kinda liked Dage, some things he did that I abhorred and love or no love, nobody tries that on me.Now Emma. So basically with Emma there was nothing new, I can easily replace her with oh so many nameless heroines. In terms of the series, I don't believe she brought [...]

    11. Geneticist Emma Paulsen has been on the run since she unveiled the Krujan's, an evil group who are trying to infect women with a virus to unmate them as well as change their genetic makeups. When she is rescued by the man she has spent years dreaming about, she is torn by her visions that show not a happily ever after if she remains by his side. Emma's sister is infected and with child, she needs her to help find a cure, with this comes trouble as Dage Kayrs, King of the Realm, is determined to [...]

    12. After pretty much loathing the two main characters in the previous book, I went into this one with certain prejudices and expectations, none of which were positive.* KANYE SHRUG * But to be honest, separately, as individuals Emma and Dage were actually not as annoying as their dimwit sister and caveman brother. Emma was smart, honorable and loyal. She had her reasons for wanting to protect the people she loved and not trusting that task to someone else, but wasn't averse to being set straight an [...]

    13. I loved Dage. His book was so good, plus the fact that it still had Talen in it. Can't wait to read Conn's book!!

    14. I thought Fated was bad, but I could not imagine the sequel was actually worse. This kind of stories are awfully reminiscent of pre-feminism, of a time when a woman "wanted" to be raped/forced/compelled and books told that kind of "truth". Claimed is boring, at 66% I had skipped most of it already. Dage is the usual Neanderthal man, Emma the supposedly strong woman is really a womanly woman and immediately gives. All her strength and combativeness (she survived the bad guys for months) flee out [...]

    15. Since I’m starting to sound like a broken record concerning Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors series, I’ll most likely make this my last review and just rate the rest as I read them. CLAIMED is my favorite in the series so far. I loved Emma, and Dage is a hero to die for. Ms. Zanetti’s witty dialogue and sense of humor between the characters makes the book a fun, exciting read. What I truly admire about Ms. Zanetti’s style is that she introduces secondary characters gradually, but integ [...]

    16. Dage, as king of the Realm, has the incredibly important job of keeping his race and other paranormals safe from the Kurjans. Those intent of kidnapping human with special abilities, so they can breed with them. One such woman is Emma, a brilliant scientist who may hold the key to unraveling a devastating illness affecting other mates and breeding women.Faced with startling revelations that she is Dages impending Queen and the even more startling, she wants him…Emma can’t decide what to do. [...]

    17. 4.5 StarsAmazing new take on vampires, Ms. Zanetti’s vampires are innovative and exciting!Emma Paulsen has been on the run for weeks. She is trying to escape the Kurjans and now also the Vampires. During her work as a geneticist she discovers that she isn’t researching a cure for cancer but something more sinister. Grabbing her research and running is her only option. A race of evil beings called Kurjans are hunting her down for more than her research though. While on the run she discovers a [...]

    18. This one is about Emma's sister and Dage Talen's brother who happens to be King of the Realm. Which we knew from reading book 1. This one is only slightly better because Dage isn't sorbaric, Neanderthal with his ways. Don't get me wrong he still is but just not as bad. The whole plot though takes a bit to get through and only at the end does most of the action and resolution happen, which I dislike. Prefer more to happen in the middle but whatever. The virus is still running rampant, and Emma be [...]

    19. Rebecca Zanetti's sophomore title sure delivered. Dage is an awesome leader. Emma a brilliant heroine. Stubborn, strong, weak, enduring all rolled into a beautiful woman. I loved all the action in this one. Tons of fighting and battling. I have to admit, though, the romance part was a bit . rougher than I care for. I kept waiting for some tenderness to be shown, yet I didn't see that. Then again, I lean more toward the softer side of romance so it's just personal preference. It was fun watching [...]

    21. I just finished re-reading Claimed and I must admit I loved it even more the second time around. Rebecca Zanetti brings such vividness to her stories and I seem to just get lost in their world. Dage is definitely one male that isn't afraid to be Alpha all the time. He makes no excuses, doesn't hold back and is sexy beyond compare. Emma is definitley the right female for him, she is stubborn and strong in her own right but, come onwe all know who is going to win this battle of wills. Don't we? Yo [...]

    22. Great read. Action packed, strong alpha males and the women who love them even though they fight with them every inch of the way. But hey the sex is great and these gals get theirs.I really enjoyed Dage and Emma's story, mostly because of Dage, he one hot King. Emma was to pigheaded for my taste but thanks to Dage's strength and courage I was able to overlook that.I love all of the males in this series, Talen, Conn, Jase, Jordan and Caleb, all of them are so fierce and yummy. These stories move a [...]

    23. I don't know why I keep reading these when I find some of the characters' views on sex so questionable. In the first book Talen used sex as a form of pseudo-blackmail to prevent or allow Cara to see her young daughter. In this book Dage uses crazy-no-hands-psychic-orgasms to essentially "break" Emma of her desire for independence. This is, I think, the only PNR I read where I skim the sex scenes because while I enjoy the rest of the story, the sex scenes just do NOT do anything for me. So two sta [...]

    24. Book Description:Emma Paulsen is a geneticist driven by science. But she's also a psychic, so when a dark, good-hearted vampire frees her from the clutches of the evil Kurjans, she realizes he must be the man who's been haunting her dreams. But with a virus threatening vampires' mates, Emma may discover a whole new meaning of "lovesick"My Thoughts:A simple review this time because the the book speaks for itself. It was such a complex and interesting story with a unique cast of characters. An enj [...]

    25. I liked this second book more than the first as the world expanded quite a bit whilst the romance was as steamy as ever. I also liked how there are strong scientific elements mixed in with the supernatural stuff. Looking forward to what happens next with the rest of the brothers and the other secondary characters.

    26. Because this book has not been released yet I will not go into all the reasons I love it.Yes, I'm extremely lucky and have already gotten a glimpse at it! What I will say is that while it's good to be the wickedly sinful King, it's even better to be his mate!

    27. Sigh reading this again. More books have come out and I don't remember the first ones.First read: 12/30/20112nd. Read: 11/14/2012

    28. This second book in the Dark protector series was an action-packed, highly charged, and sexy read. I thought that I would dislike the independent and stubborn Emma but she is as fiercely loyal and protective of her younger sister Cara, heroine of the first book, her niece Janie and Cara's unborn son. Though it took most of the book for her to finally admit her feeling for Dage, their journey together a fun and exciting read. I loved the scenes with little Janie Belle and her dream friend, Zane. [...]

    29. This was a nice strong sequel to the first book in the series. There were a few things that make it even more enjoyable. For one, all the set up and introductions to the Dark Protector world have pretty much been established so the story could focus more on the plot and characters. And for another thing, I liked the main characters better. I enjoyed how the story took me further with the main story thread and a few of the other other continuing threads even while placing much of the emphasis on [...]
